Deputy’s Desk | Lightning Carnival, Book Week & Book Fair
Welcome back to term three which is always a busy one! I hope that you all enjoyed lovely family time. Keep an eye on the term planner as the events will creep up on us quickly.
Best wishes to the students who are competing in the Lightning Carnival on Friday. The Goollelal spirit always shines through and our sportsmanship is always second to none. It would be wise to include some wet weather gear in your school bag and plan for all the seasons, hat, sunscreen, drink bottle etc.
The choir and all the classes have been busy learning items to present at the Book Week assembly on Friday 24 August. We are all looking forward to it.
Book Fair and Book Club
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Emma Hinchliffe for all her on-going efforts to keep our children reading! Emma has run the Book Club for many years and will continue to do so for this year.
She has also coordinated the Book Fair which is held during Book Week. She is unable to fulfill that role this year so we are looking for a new Book Fair coordinator. If you are able to help please contact the office on and Emma has offered to give the new coordinator a handover.
