Principal’s Pen | Ambulance Visit, World Teacher’s Day, Free Dress Day & Emails
Dear Parents and Families,
We had a wonderful day today with visitors from St John’s Ambulance at our school. All our students were lucky enough to have an ambulance tour and a snakebite first aid demonstration. Ethan and Brodie were exceptional in their roles of snake bite victim and first responder! I would also like to say a huge thank you to St John’s for their generous donation of a defibrillator to Goollelal PS.
Today, we also celebrated World Teachers’ Day at Goollelal PS. Every day, Western Australian teachers are making a difference educating and inspiring young people across our state. Australian Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to acknowledge our teachers and say thanks for the significant contributions they make in our classrooms and communities. I would like to thank all the hardworking Goollelal PS staff including teachers, education assistants, office staff, cleaners, gardeners, our chaplain and School Psychologist for their dedication and commitment to our school.
Later this term, on Friday the 24th of November we will be holding our regular school fundraising activity. This time it will be a Free Dress Day for a gold coin donation. On that day I’ll be looking forward to seeing some gorgeous outfits! All money will be donated to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
As previously mentioned, this semester we will be trialling the emailing of your children’s end of year reports. To assist us in preparation for this, please ensure that we have your current email address.
